Orthotic Treatment That’s Based Around You

Orthotics have been shown to be beneficial in the prevention and rehabilitation of many lower extremity conditions such as bunions, arch pain, heel pain, knee pain and lower back pain. If you wore orthotics when you were younger, or if someone in your immediate family currently wears orthotics, then you may need them too. Other indications for orthotics include prevention of injury or sports performance enhancement.

At FDFAC, we do a complete workup of your lower extremity function to determine which type of orthotic is right for you. With so many orthotic options available, the choices can be overwhelming. We’re here to simplify the process based on your alignment and your individual needs.

Our custom orthotic treatment includes a comprehensive analysis of your lower extremity function including joint measurements, muscle testing and an evaluation of your walking and/or running gait patterns.

Next, we use a laser scanning and visualization system to produce a scanned image of each foot which is then electronically sent to our manufacturing lab. It takes about three weeks from the time of your orthotic visit to having these custom devices ready to be fitted. Once you have your orthotics, we will always make sure your new orthotics are comfortable, and fit easily into your shoes.
