Whether you have a sprained ankle or a fractured toe, our goal at FDFAC is to make sure your injury heals properly and you are able to return to your normal activities as quickly as possible.

Diagnosis
Critical to determining the extent of injury and subsequent healing is accurate diagnosis and monitoring. We utilize in-office digital x-ray to quickly diagnose bone injury and trauma. This eliminates the need for multiple trips to an imaging facility and back to the office for x-ray review and treatment. Soft tissue injures such as plantar fasciitis can be easily diagnosed with in-office ultrasound. If there is cartilage or ligamentous injury, we are able to schedule you for MRI imaging within 1-2 days. Our clinical partners make MRI, CT and ultrasound scans available online for immediate access and review.

Treatment
We understand you desire to heal in the fastest time possible which is why we offer the following treatments.

Ultrasound Guided Injections
At FDFAC we utilize ultrasound to assist us in injection placement. Ultrasound enables us to visualize the injured area and pinpoint the exact location desired for medication or anesthesia placement. Common indications for this treatment include plantar fasciitis injections, neuroma injections, PRP and regional nerve blocks. Without ultrasound guided injection placement, there is a good chance the area being injected will be missed, requiring additional injections and treatment.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
A revolutionary, minimally invasive treatment, PRP utilizes your bodies own natural growth factors to speed healing to an injured area. PRP involves using an individual’s blood – centrifuged to concentrate the growth factor rich platelets – to intensify and accelerate the healing response. For more than 20 years, PRP has been successfully used for tendon, ligament, and muscular injuries. It is especially well suited for injuries that haven’t responded to traditional treatments including rest, immobilization, physical therapy, taping, orthotics, cortisone injections and anti-inflammatories.

Bone Stimulation
Bone growth stimulation is the technique of promoting bone growth fractures by applying ultrasound to the fracture. The EXOGEN system emits low-intensity, pulsed ultrasound waves which stimulates the bone’s natural healing process. These waves move through your skin and soft tissue to penetrate the bone at the fracture site. Effective in just 20 minutes a day, Exogen Bone Healing system heals fresh fractures 38% faster and heals 86% of non-unions.

Viscosupplementation
Viscosupplementation involves injecting a thick fluid (hyaluronate) into a joint afflicted with osteoarthritis. Viscosupplementation is based on the physiologic importance of hyaluronan in synovial joints. Its therapeutic goal is to restore the visco-elasticity of synovial hyaluronan, thereby decreasing pain, improving mobility and restoring the natural protective functions of hyaluronan in the joint.

" I had never been to a podiatrist before, but was referred to see one by my doctor & physical therapist after breaking my leg.  I went to just get orthotics, but what I got was probably hands down the best podiatrist in Norther California.

Dr. Sanders (aka, "Dr. Jenny") is not only a fantastic podiatrist who will give 110% to make sure she diagnoses you properly, but also a great personality.  I actually look forward to going to the podiatrist.  She's is just great.

When I was having problems with my ankle after having had a couple surgeries, and my doctor and physical therapist felt that I just needed more time and therapy, it was Dr. Sanders who listened to me, worked with me, and then was the one who diagnosed with me bone spurs, which after having them removed, made  a huge difference.

I am thoroughly impressed with Dr. Sanders, her state of the art equipment and thorough diagnoses, and her effort to explain everything clearly.  I cannot recommend this place enough."
