Digital X-Ray
FDFAC has used digital x-ray since 2006 and was the first private podiatry office in the Bay Area to offer this technology. We utilize the Extreme 1012 system, which is the first fully automatic CR scanner dedicated to digital imaging for the extremities. In addition to the convenience of onsite imaging, you will also receive a free PC compatible disc of any images taken at your first visit to FDFAC. Other facilities charge as much as $50 for this must-have part of your medical record, but not us. We believe the more information you have about your own health care, the more informed your decisions can be regarding your care.

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
FDFAC has used ultrasound since 2008 and was the first private podiatry office in the Bay Area to offer this technology. We utilize the Sonosite portable system with printing capabilities to enhance patient care and treatment. All heel spur, neuroma, and platelet rich plasma injections are done under ultrasound guidance. Ultrasound helps identify conditions that were previously only visible with expensive and time consuming MRI imaging, including tendon and fascial tears and foreign bodies.

F-Scan In-Shoe Pressure Gait Analysis
FDFAC has used F-Scan since 2004. The F-Scan System captures dynamic in-shoe pressure and force information and reveals interaction between foot and footwear. Unlike traditional visual observation of foot function and gait, F-Scan quantifies force, contact pressure distribution, and timing. The system includes sensors, scanning electronics, and software as well as a protocol for analysis, diagnosis, and confirmation of the effectiveness of interventions. The extremely thin, high resolution F-Scan sensor ensures the most accurate data is captured. F-Scan provides biomechanical parameters and a better understanding of foot function, gait, and factors that effect both.

Amfit Contact Digitizer
FDFAC has used Amfit’s Contact Digitizer since 2008. The Amfit digitizer measures the entire plantar surface of the foot giving the doctors at FDFAC precise data to make the best foot orthotics.

H-P Cosmos Motion Analysis Running Machine
FDFAC has used H-P Cosmos Running Machine since 2004 and is the only medical clinic on the West Coast to use this state-of-the-art running machine. An integral part to every walking and running analysis performed at FDFAC, the remote controlled H-P Cosmos running machine assists physicians in viewing forward, reverse, incline and side analysis of gait. With a wide belt and stable running surface it’s the perfect complement to H-P Cosmos Para Motion software used for motion analysis. The H-P Cosmos Running Machine is unmatched to other forward only treadmill machines.

H-P Cosmos Para Motion Software for Motion Analysis
H-P Cosmos Para Motion System is video recording software developed to coordinate with the H-P Cosmos Motion Analysis Running Machine. The digital software is designed for video-based gait and motion analysis with integrated treadmill control, extensive analysis tools, and individual report functions.
