Your policy
may seem confusing, and most practitioners may not be able to inform
you about your exact benefits. Every doctor's office has access to
the same information distributed by each insurance company. This information
is preceded with disclaimers from each carrier stating that the benefit
information may not be accurate and does not guarantee reimbursement
or payment for services.
Your visit is regulated by two distinct contracts
Your policy may also have one or more of the following terms affecting your out of pocket expenses:
Each policy is different, we encourage all of our patients to check with their insurance carrier to fully understand their benefits and financial responsibility. As a courtesy, we bill your insurance company on your behalf and will even challenge denial of benefits. In some situations, but not all, we have successfully helped our patients receive benefits for services. When a second denial has occurred, we are required to collect payment for all services. If we do not collect the balance of your account, your insurance company may determine this as a breach of contract. If this determination is made, our contract with your insurance company could be jeopardized. We do not pre-bill for products or services in order for you to understand your financial responsibility.
