Jenny Sanders, DPM Jenny Sanders, DPM
Principal Podiatric Physician

Dr. Jenny Sanders received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from Portland State University. She received her Podiatric Medical Degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and completed her residency in Podiatric Orthopedics, also in San Francisco. Dr. Sanders has been practicing Podiatric Medicine in the Financial District since 1990. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Sanders is an adjunct Clinical Professor for the Department of Applied Biomechanics at Samuel Merritt College. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical and a frequent lecturer at their nationally recognized Western Podiatric Medical Congress. Respected by other physicians for her knowledge of clinical Biomechanics, Dr. Sanders also works as a Podiatric Medical Consultant, where she teaches orthotic therapy and treatment.

Dr. Sanders' areas of clinical expertise include Biomechanics, Gait Analysis, Orthotic Therapy, Sports and Performance Podiatric Medicine, Shoe Fitting as well as general podiatry.

  
   
 
 
Paul R. Scherer, DPM
Podiatric Physician

Dr. Scherer is the Chairperson of the Department of Applied Biomechanics at Samuel Merritt College, a position he has been appointed to three times in the past 30 years. He is Board certified both by ABFAS and ABPOPPM. Dr. Scherer participates in the American College of Foot Surgeons, the American College of Foot Orthopedics, the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Physician Fellowship. He was awarded the APMA Fellowship in 1972, given the Hall of Science Award in 1976, awarded tenure in 1983, named by the APF as Physician of the Year in 1988, and honored as commencement speaker for the college in 1990.

Dr. Scherer has received both public and private grants for his academic work and has published on a wide variety of topics including surgical procedures, the effects of specialty shoes, clinical outcomes related to tinea pedis, collagenase ulcer therapy, accelerated fracture healing, cystic chromomycosis, GSW of the foot, heel spur syndrome and the biomechanics of the first ray and its relationship to first MPJ motion. He is a popular lecturer on foot biomechanics both in the academic environment as well as for national continuing medical education programs. He is Administrative Director of Health Plans Organization of California in San Francisco, California.
